I pull the darkslides all the way out, and stack them close to vertically as follows, (front to back): holder, dark slide, dark slide, holder, dark slide, dark slide... Holders are oriented horizontally, slides vertically.

When inserting the film, I slide one whole edge under one film guide, then bow the film a little and put the other edge under the other guide. Then I slide the film up the last inch or so into the holder, close the flap and insert the slide. Anybody else do it that way?

I also either vacuum each holder or blow it out with a 60 psi air compressor before each loading (if possible.) I don't like wearing gloves, so I wash my hands well first. Also, lock the door and cover the cell phone and anything else that might light up...
