Are you wishing for an 8X10 Petzval to take in the field with your 6 pound Wehman? Something that won't tip the camera over frontwards?
This is a 13" f6.6 No Name Petzval. It is a theater projection lens. I took it apart to see if maybe there was a clue written on the edge of the glass. Nope.
I'm still going to guess maybe it's a Darlot. Just has the family look with other ones I've had before. Doesn't matter really.
It has a fine petzval signature. I don't know if you can make it swirl or not. We don't have trees in Tonopah, and you need busy stuff at the top of the frame for swirlies. I do not have a flange for it. Light as a feather, just make a friction mount for it.
Certainly not a Dallmeyer 3B and I won't price it like one. But I DO feel it's worth $265 bucks + shipping.
