I sincerely hope someone will correct me but it very much seems that there is now only one supplier of lith print developer in Oz and the one that does still exist is virtually ‘unobtainium‘ on the basis cost! Then I thought I have a few formulas (curtesy of Mr Rudman) I’ll buy the base ingredients and formulate one or two myself I have a bit of experience in that department and a chemical balance to boot!
Well, out of five formulas not one of two suppliers found had all the ingredients to make any of the five up! While I feel sure that somewhere in this wide land there is a company that has all or even some of the ingredients to make up a lith developer but at the moment I can’t find them… Importation is possible but even the in the land of Mr Rudman it’s not an easy shop. So maybe between the shortage of suitable papers and now developers Lith printing is very much a dying art form…

Welcome to Photrio, @perceptivelight!

Fortunately, a simple lith developer only requires 2-3 ingredients. If you can get some hydroquinone, some sodium sulfite and some potassium bromide, you're in business. There are plenty of other chemicals you could add depending on the formula you mix, but the basic three are always the same, and a developer made with only these three will in fact work splendidly. Out of the three, the hydroquinone will be the most challenging to obtain, but it's still a fairly common chemical.
