Lith developer for film formula?

Hello,

I make litho film masks for printing and until now developed them in ordinary paper developer in different concentrations for different contrast. Now I need very high contrast and want to try litho developer. Which reciep is dependable and long lasting?

Lith developers aren't long lasting.

I always used Kodak D85b which is the two part version of D85, it has a good shelf life but once mixed for use a short tray life but is an excellent lith developer, I used it a lot for masks with litho film.

What is your experience with tray life of that developer, how long will it work with fairly consistent results and how do you see that is to be discarded?

Probably about half an hour, the colour changes to deep brown as it collapses. It's a few years since I used it but I was using it on a daily basis for work for about 10 years.
