I've been collecting chemicals for a home-made receipe for Lith developer that I got from Tim Rudman's World of Lith printing, one of the contributor's gave it - anyway I sent away for sodium sulphite and was sent sodium sulphide - looks a but like smashed up corn chips - anyway the question is - is this the same thing or not - and yes, everyone I did flunk chemistry in a spectacular way at school!
Thanks everyone--Patricia

Thanks Mateo, the stink alone should have rung a few bells I guess - its consigned to the woodshed now but I rest easy in the knowledge that I have several lifetimes supply of sepia toner.
