I just got done with my first session (+) using Formulary's Liquidol paper developer. Several forum contributors have commented on this developer before, but I felt the need to add my two cents worth. Liquidol appears to be a very good cold tone developer. The results were probably a bit better than with my usual developer (Defender 54-D) and better than Dektol, in my opinion. I was especially impressed by both the tray life and the capacity of this developer. The data sheet that comes with the developer says that the tray life is about 32 hours. I can confirm that it is at least that long, which is much better than any other print developer I have seen. I started the printing session on one night and did several 11X14 prints (including several trial prints); then I continued late the next afternoon. The developer remained as active as it was the night before, and it also retained its quality. I continued to make several more prints. In total, I ran 20 or more sheets of 11X14 paper through a half gallon of developer without coming close to exhausting it. Thanks Ron.
