Dear Ricardo,

GOODBYE BABY AND AMEN, David Bailey

Not just fashion, but probably the most iconic book on fashion/celebrity photography in the 60s; arguably Bailey's best work.

How much do you know already? You presumably know all the names: Terence Donovan, Brian Duffy, David Bailey etc.

Cheers,

R.

Roger,

thanks for triggering my memory. I actually have all three photographers you mention bookmarked, but had forgotten about those bookmarks. I will get the book you recommended.

I'm looking to send pictures/links to someon for "inspiration", if anyone has more links/suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

i concur on all above names - another interesting guy is Melvin Sokolsky, a very creative photographer and a great example of what was possible when illustrated magazines were king, budgets were big, and retouchers were plentiful (and very highly paid!).

Regards,

David

How about William Klein and Richard Avedon? Both produced some great fashion shots. Not sure what's available in print nowadays but you could take a look at photoeye.com
