I just received a 56x72 Super Rollex back for a baby (2x3/6x9) Linhof. I read the instructions online test loaded a spool of old backing paper to make sure I understand the process. The one odd thing is that when advancing the film so the start arrow is visible in the hole between the spools, the advance has a lot of drag, to the point that I thought maybe I shouldn't advance it with the lever. Though once the arrow is in place, and the mechanism is installed in the back and the back locked, the advance is easy and smooth.

Is this normal? Is there a better way to load the film?

That what I was following, and it felt like I was going to break the lever...is that the intent?
