Linhof did it again, I'm in full agreement. IMO, this is THE BEST quick release plate system I've come across, ever. Period! This system is rock solid, milled aluminum w/ solid brass(not brass plated or gold-anodized aluminum) screws. Pure sex in mechanical form
If I didn't already have myself committed to an Acratech Q/R plate system on a Gitzo ballhead(ancient looking, but rock solid and still working like a champ!), I'd buy/make more of these plates and mount them on all my big cameras(even my 8x10). Super duper construction, and definitely NO-NONSENSE!

$150 shipped in the USA for the Q/R plate holder, and the (2) plates
One with a 3/8-16 screw, the other with a 1/4-20 screw.
All stock, no replacement DIY parts here(except the allen wrench). Pure Linhof. Screws use a hex wrench(not pictured, BUT INCLUDED!) to tighten down btw.
