Linhof owners

Hello,

This is adressed to you with Linhof technika cameras. I own a Master tech and i can feel that the rear standard is abit loose, not the whole standard just the part with leathette that is closest to the film holder, did i made my self understandable? It isnt much loose, just a 1 mm glitch, maybe less.

And what is it to with the poor leather covering?

Hmmm. Next time i will think before posting. Thats the part that spin, ofcourse it has to be abit loose. Hmmm

But still, the leatherette...????

You mean the back is loose? Is it loose in both the horizontal and vertical positions? Maybe try removing the back (turn it 45 degrees and pull out the four tabs) and see if its attached properly to the camera.

On my Tech V the leatherette always seems to be coming off. I thought they improved the adhesive on the Master Tech. I reattach it with Pliobond.

I cant seem to get it detatch, is the screws or the tabs with arrows on them you mean?

No, the leather loosens in the edges, pretty bad on such a expensive camera.

Leave the screws alone. They don't need to be touched to remove the back of the camera.

Take each tab and pull them out in the direction they are installed on the camera. Lay the camera flat (resting on it's bottom) when you do this, since the back can fall out once you pull out all four silver tabs.

heh, This is insane, i cant get it off. I can just move the tabs back and forth, Maybe im to tired for this right now.

You need to pull all four tabs out to remove the back, and it should lift off easily.

As David says and it should be the same as the Super Technika IV that I used to have. You should slide the tabs. As I recall their should be arrows on or around the tabs. The whole back assembly should remove easily.

This Should life the part that revolves? not the gg holder, not the back that is attached to the bellows. A midnight mystery for me right now.

Im going to sleep before i feel more stupid

Yes you need to rotate the revolving back of the camera. This is different than sliding out and removing the GG housing assembly. To do that, it is the same as my Linhof Technikardan 45S. To do that you have to push down on the 2 spring loaded bars (not sure what they are really termed) and slide the assembly normally to the right.

Hmm, i have no idea what they are called either, but those are no problem. The GG housing loosens fine when sliding to the right. But that darn revolving thing, is still there. It rotates but wont loosen.

Im thankful for all help i can get.

im going nutsssssssssss.........

If you can rotate the revolving back part way you should see the tabs at the corners of the frame around the camera body. Those are what should slide. Once they slide from all 4 corners the whole assemblage should come out from the rest of the body of the camera. But be careful. As was stated above make sure that the front of the camera is on a flat surface otherwise the camera may fall to the floor.

I've attached some quick images I just made of my Technika....as you can see, once you move the four silver tabs out, the back (the part that rotates) lifts right out of the camera....perhaps these will help?

Now i get what tabs are meant to be pulled out. But mine are screwed and i cant move them. I guess i have to screw that off, to get the back off. But then im afraid i wont get it in place again

Do yours glitch abit? not much, but just little, i figured that the things move, and if it to tight it wont move. I just noticed this and was wondering how much.

Don't unscrew the tabs. They should move easily, but you probably just haven't figured out how. Just pull them out from the center of the back.

David. I tried to loosen on screw abit, and the screw is attatched thru the tab into the rod. So it is locked there. They must have changed it on the master.
