OK, From what I understand, one is able to to use a Mamiya RZ67 rollfilm back on the "little" Linhof M679 view camera. But, RZ backs on the original Mamiya cameras had the film advanced by the same lever that cocked the shutter and readied the camera for the next shot. So if there is no film advance lever on the actual RZ film back, how would you advance the film when using this on a Linhof M679 view camera?
RB67 backs have lever film advances but not the RZ.

thanks,

Well, I have a motorized (and leverless) RB 6x8 back and it has a little button you can push to make it advance manually, absent any signal from the camera. I assume the rz backs are similar.

I shoot with an RZ67, and can tell you that there is a film winding knob on the top. I use this to advance to the first frame.

However, I don't know how you would advance past the first frame as the holder locks down to avoid accidental movement. There's probably a pin or something on the film side of the holder that triggers the advance knob.

Are you sure that it isn't the RB back that fits? I believe the RB backs have a graflock connector. The RZ backs connect differently.
