Hello there,

I recently scanned some negatives and imported them into LR3. A bit later I discovered a way to keep the film flatter in the neg holders, so I rescanned the film. The new tifs looked better than the originals, so I deleted the originals on my hard drive, and opened up LR. Then when LR asked me to locate them I simply clicked on the new versions (with different file names). However, now when I try to open the tifs in PS CS4 it opens up Adobe Camera Raw, and will only let me view the images the way they were cropped in LR before I deleted them. If I go back to LR and press reset I can view the entire uncropped image, but PS is somehow only recognizing the previously adjusted/cropped LR versions. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there some metadata I can delete somehow?

Thanks!

I tried that to no avail, but I did just figure it out. In case this happens to anyone you need to open the image in LR, reset it, then right click and select Metadata > Save Metadata to File. This will restore the image to its original state when opened by PS.

What I think should work: go to library view, and right click on the folder in which you placed the new files and then select 'synchronize folder'. LR will the import the new files.

Next time add and delete files using LR, otherwise the database will have issues.
