If you get more accurate averaging from
bigger spots then it is because you are
miscaculating your exposures. Dennis

More accurate because of miscalculation.
As long as I miscalculate consistently I'm
OK. There are those this thread who
swear by much larger "spots" than
the 8 degree Sekonic L-228. Dan

I've steered clear of the one degree spots.
I believe narrow area meter averaging
gives a truer reading. Dan

A 1 degree spot is just this - a narrow area meter averaging the narrow area. Steer clear of it...

Then why do you need a wider area meter? Just miscalculate consistently the narrow spot meter...
