SOLD OUT. Thanks for everyone's help in getting rid of my excess purchase.
I do recommend this material if you work on old cameras, are building your own, etc. It is thin- ~1/64", 0.015", .040mm. Quality- does not shed or flake, etc. Sticks well. Works as both a cover for surfaces and as a very thin light seal for doors and such.
Supplier info in first post. Sold by the inch. Not sure what the minimum is, but shipping remains around $10 for up to 100 inches or so. It took about 4 weeks to get to me, so I imagine that the outfit puts such orders low on their list and does runs of small orders every few weeks.
Maybe someone else will be buying some and can do this same thing down the road. I had about 12 inquiries in less than 12 hours. Partly the price, of course, but does show that people are curious and have uses. Three sheets at 4" x 9" will last a long time in most cases. I am on the last I bought about 6 years ago and the adhesive is still strong, shows no signs of drying out.
