Hello:

How does one determine spacing of lens precisely enough to determine length of a box camera hyperfocal construction?

I can probably rig up a bellows in the front for smaller lenese, or a sliding back.

I have an Aero-Ektar 12" f/2.5 I want to make a box camera with. It does have front & back focus numbers but I don't know if the barrel conversion it's in is correct...with surplus conversions, you never know.

Thanks

Ha!

What am I not building?

I call myself an armchair photographer - I read and collect things and drive by places that I think would make a nice photo, but hardly shoot any film!

Some pinhole projects from 6x9 on up, a 309 mm Aero-Ektar for 8x10, a 6" Metrogon cousin (Eastman Kodak, not an Aero-Ektar, patent predates the B&L Metrogon - appears to be a Zeiss Topogon design) - this one might get a bellows and monorail, a fixer-upper Speed Graphic 4x5 in rough shape, and someday a(n) LF enlarger with a monochromatic lens (blue cold head for graded paper).
