my dear girlfriend has now been photographing a year..
She has come a looong way already.
So she asked whether she was "old enough" to try out my GANDOLFI 8x10..
and guess what.
She is doing self portraits with it!!
setting the light (flash as she is totally new in) - focusing (!) and posing.....
and of course developing and are now doing oilprints with it..
She has made a funny looking setup for this.
a microphone stand as a border (top and right side..)
a string o fpearls as a border to the left..
and in the middle a string with a lip stick hanging with a piece of gum where her eye is supposed to be..
she then focuses on the gum piece - sets the aperture and try to get the light right.
just to the left of the camera she placed a mirror, so she could see the light (almost).
I'll post an example as she is ready for you to see..
just to tell this, and that I am quite amazed the amount of energy she puts in it.
there is still hope!
