Hey all- I have kind of a silly question that I cant seem to answer by googling.
Im going to be printing large on my 23CII and will be projecting against a wall in order to get the reach. I know that having the print completly level is very important, but Im not 100% sure how to ensure that its level. My enlarger can only do the baseboard, and off the wall...so this is my only option. Any advice?
Assuming a horizontal print, wedge or lift one side of the baseboard. If it's vertical alignment. The head has an adjustment screw on the lift. Problem is, you have to readjust it to use the baseboard again.
If you would like some plastic wedges I can send you some. PM me & I'll stick 'em in the mail.
The critical adjustment for high magnification enlargements is the alignment of the lens to film, so make sure that is correct before proceeding. For example when giving a slide show, how closely aligned does the screen need to be to the projector? You can probably eyeball it.
