New today on ƒ/D, I review Brooks Jensen's book, "Letting Go of the Camera" from a pinhole perspective. His essays on creativity and free expression align closely with the thought process of pinhole, at least for me. It's a good read!

Sounds similar to what the large format photographers speak of, slowing down and look before the shot, except for the letting go and allowing accidents to happen. I don't do much pinhole photography, but sounds like an interesting book.

Definitely - Brooks often shoots in large format. It's good perspective for photographers from all walks - I just wrote the review as an unabashed pinholer

An excellent book. I know Brooks. He's 100% digital now, has been for several years. He was an excellent film photographer and used primarily 6x9 film in a little Arca Swiss view camera. Now he's an excellent digital photographer.
