Papagene - Herkimer? H triple? Wow, I grew up in Little FAlls - the next town over. And I taught at HCCC back in '93. My mom said earlier this fall the soccer team was unbeaten - glad to hear it!

I have not received much feedback here about a print exchange for this get together - if anyone else wants to participate in an exchange, bring some prints with you for this. But please feel free to bring some prints to show the others what you are up to.
As far as the general agenda goes for this meeting, I want it to be a chance to meet you all first and foremost. Secondly, I want to try and set up a loose schedule of future meetings like this. We can become quite an active group.
Thirdly (is that a word???), I want to try and see if we can plan on future photographic outings. We all have favorite places or live near places of photographic interest. Itr would be great to share those with others and get out and photograph!!
Finally... please let me know if my directions make sense. Please use the map in conjunction to a MapQuest type map.
DO NOT park in the parking garage - there is plenty of on street parking and in the lot behind BankNorth.

Being local I don't need directions. Just wanted to let you know I will be there. I think that it is important to setup outings for photography to favourite spots.

Thanks, I checked online and it looks like it's pretty close to the PD and the courthouse. Unfortunately, I know Worthington St, Pearl St, and the surrounding areas pretty well - though it probably looks different in daylight. I'm a forensic chemist, btw. I should be able to find it. Is street parking available?

Parking is available on Main St in front of the Center and on Bridge St between Dwight and Main St and in a lot behind BankNorth, accessable from Dwight and Harrison (Boland Way) Streets. Do not park in the garage - no need to pay.

Looking forward to tomorrow!!
I will be arriving at the Center at 9:30am at the latest (need to make sure no beer bottles left over from last night's reception/fundraiser ). If you want to get there that early, you are welcome. At 10:00am those that want to, we can go to Gus & Paul's for a quick breakfast - G&P's is in the southeast corner of Tower Square, the VPC is in the northeast corner. The Center opens to the public at 11:00am, so if we ain't back by then, please be patient we'll be there soon.
Bring some prints to show, bring some thoughts on future get togethers and suggestions for future photo outings. Let's have a good time and meet and make new friends.
Remember not to park in the garage at Tower Square, plenty of street parking and in the lot behind BankNorth.

Another freebie

In addition to the book on lighting, I'll be bringing a book "Paul Strand" from the "Aperture Masters of Photography" series which I'll also be giving away. Again, if more than one person wants it, we'll have to figure out a way to decide who gets it....

...and instead of prints I'll bring some strips of 6x7 transparencies which show the bankruptcy of my style and the fact that I desparately need some new subjects to photograph!
