I took delivery today of a Lester A. Dine 105mm f/2.8 Macro lens in Nikon AIS mount. I have the same lens with the Vivitar and Kiron names. The Dine model is different in three ways: the pull-out shade is missing, there is a decal over the distance markings for using the lens with a Done flash unit and I have to turn the focusing ring another inch to reach infinity focus. The glass and aperture mechanism are fine. I suspect someone had the lens apart and did not reassemble it correctly. I'll show it to my repairman the next time I see him.
