I've often wondered why somebody like Ilford doesn't offer bulk packs of film. I don't much like loading my own, but I also don't much like buying dozens of little plastic cans that just go into the recycler.
Why not dump 50 rolls of HP-5 into a heavy black plastic bag, (like paper comes in), and put that in a box, and save 50 plastic cans, and 50 little boxes?
Even at 20 or 30 cents per roll, you'd save $10 or $15.

These come in the same type of plastic wrappers that 120 film comes in.
 
OK, feeling a little stupid here.
This is what happens when you don't do enough research.

I've found countless uses for those little plastic cans, including protection for respooled film or factory loaded film bought in quantity. In the darkroom they serve to develop test frames of film. They can be cut down to adapt pinholes to many of the shutters found on LF cameras. They can organize and store tiny parts. Kittens and kids may like to play with them. Campers use them to protect matches, food items, and pills. And so it goes.
 
don't forget the salt n pepper lids they used to sell for them.
oh, and they keep your drugs dry on camping trips too.
