Christmas is over, and I need to re-capitalize the Model A project. I have several lenses I've harvested from the Lens Bunker for that purpose.
Second up is this Cooke Series IIA Portric. This is an 8" f3.5 lens. Astonishingly fast for it's day.
It's got ugliness issues. It is originally a "sunken" mount lens for a big reflex type camera. Someone has done an OK job of mounting it to the brass sleeve so that it will sit out in front of the lens board. Works OK, looks ugly.
Glass condition is superb and the aperture works smoothly. This lens does NOT have the defocus feature like the bigger "knuckler" types do. It will cover the 5X7 format.
These superb lenses are famous for their gorgeous sharpness and subtle soft bokeh. I don't have any images made with it to show you. Never got there. $325
