Hi guys, so Im going to need a couple lensboards for my new to me Chamonix 4x5, and I gather it’ll need Linhof Technika style boards. I have two lenses - a Schneider super angulon 90 f/8 that is clearly marked Copal 0, but I also have a Fujinon W 150mm f/5.6 that just says “Copal” with no number. Anyone know what size I’ll need for this one?

Another issue is the placement of the hole on the board. For some cameras it is in the middle. For others it is lower than center by a certain amount. I have no idea what it is for your camera, and for some reason, many camera manufacturers never mention this. I guess they just want you to buy their boards. Perhaps others who use your camera will chime in. If not, you can figure it out for yourself.
Sellers of board often, but not always, indicate if the hole is centered or not -- and rarely mention by how much.

Yeah I think I saw somewhere that I do need the the centered version, but I’m not 100% on that. I guess I should contact Chamonix to be sure.

The Chamonix cameras have enough flexibility in rise/fall that it's not really an issue. Just need to raise the front standard a bit if you've got an off-center board. For very wide-angle lenses, you can move both standards forward enough to avoid getting the base board in the image.

I've actually got a Fuji W (not NW) 150 f/5.6 in a Copal "press" shutter on an off-center Linhof board. Works with no problems.

The lowered hole is to give a little bit of fall because some cameras have less fall than rise. Everything centered, the lowered hole puts the horizon a little higher (assuming you're shooting landscapes).
