Hi Gang, I have three large format lenses with dings in the filter threads (not dropped by me).....In one of the 'threads' was a link to a repairer supplier that listed a lens vice to remove the ding.

I can't find this link now, could anyone recommend the best place to buy one please? If anyone has a spare second hand one then I would be prepared to buy.

Thanks in advance for any help...Cheers Dave

It's Microtools for the vise.
I've always used a toothbrush handle & hammer though. Cut the bristle end off & use it like a punch or chisel.
You support the filter ring on a block of wood & use the TB handle & hammer on the inside of the filter ring. It's nice if the support is slightly concave to keep the lens from rolling.

Even with the lens vise you may find that straightening the ring won't be perfect since some of the threads may be deformed. I use a dental tool with a scraping blade to clean those up

One man's lens vice is another man's bokeh.

Dave: I think you can still get a lens vise from edromney.com. His widow & son still sell his camera tools and repair manuals.
