I've been searching through the forum and most references to lens / shutter CLA's are rather on the old / stale side. (e.g. SK Grimes discontinued shutter services in 2018). There probably should be a current list we maintain here on Photrio in a sticky somewhere.
As a newby to LF, it's hard to know at times whether exposure issues are me or the equipment... while I'm betting the latter, it's hard to tell with old equipment. FWIW, I'm not in a rush to pursue this line of action, but simply to collect a list of resources. Meanwhile.... I'll start with trying the shutter sound test app, but looking for CLA resources basically came up with slim pickens. Love to know who the go-to folks are in the experience of folks on this list. And yes, there's the approach mentioned of "throw it out" and buy again, but a GOOD CLA can usually work wonders. I've had many done in 35 and MF and seen the results. LF should have a stable, too.
