Lens Set: Busch Petzval 250mm, Imagon 250mm, menicus 250mm, Leitz Aplanat 250mm

I made this lens set a couple of years ago. I want a casket set with different kind of lens types.

The Busch is a Typ V projection lens, it were also sold as a taking lens, only the barrel were different, the optical design is the same.
It has 250mm focus with f/5.6
It is a perfect lens for lenscape and portraits in 4x5“
The lens cells fits into the synchronised Compound III shutter.

In the same shutter you can screw in the 250mm Rodenstock Imagon 250mm h=5.8
For this lens and the 250mm meniscus lens I made three starshape apertures in f/8; f/11 and f/16
This apertures have the standard 55mm filter thread.
The aperture itself is made of high quality ABS plastic, unbeakable and free of reflections,

The build in aperture of the shutter can be use as well when you need a lower value but the optical quality is reached at f/16. More stopping down is only necessary when more DOF is needed.
The star shape aperture is the perfect choice for an Imagon or a meniscus lens because it gives a more nicely halo, not the ugly large and bright band around the highlights, it produces more a brightness gradient, it is more a 3D effect. Not easy to descripe.
In the 1920th it were a well known aperture shape but today the knowledge of it is lost.

The fourth lens is an aplanatic lens, or a rectilinar lens made of two Leica Elpro close up lenses.
This ones are two element achromatic lenses of high quality.
Both lenses together screwed into the shutter gives a 250mm lens with f/5.6
It is a well made kind of softfocus lens and getting really sharp when stopped down.
The rear cell Elpro has an adapter ring with the shutter thread.
The front Elpro uses an adapter ring with the shutter thread and a 55mm standard filter thread in the front.
This adapter ring is for using the Elpro close up ring but for the star shape apertures as well.

All glass elements are clean an clear, the shutter works at all speeds, aperture of it works well too.
Comes with the mounting flange.

Here you get four interesting lenses and it is a pleasure to use it. You have a Petzval lens, a softfocus Imagon and a retilinear softfocus lens with aperture controlled softness and a simple meniscus lens with its own character.

It is a 100% unique lens set and I will never made a second of it. I used it a lot but now it is time to give it away.

Price is 399 Euros + shipping in a DHL parcel.

Payment via PayPal. When you want the buyers protection please add the fees.
