Lens servicing people in & around Melbourne/Geelong

G'day all,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to take lenses for a good proper dismantle and clean? I want to get my enlarger lenses back to pristine (they vary between pretty good ond just okay), then eventually get a couple of my large format lenses there too, even though they're all pretty nice anyway.

Through work we use Camera Clinic in Melbourne, but Can anyone recommend anywhere else?

I was going to just have a crack myself, especially sine I've got double-ups of a couple focal lengths, so one could still be in use while I slowly work away at the other. However... I recently dug up an old zoom that I remember Dad pulling apart to service when we were kids... It was never the same again! So I thought, even though I know enough to get myself into trouble, perhaps I'd be better off going to someone who knows even more, at least enough to get OUT of trouble again!

It's a bit of a hike from Geelong, but I would recommend Shutterbox in Camberwell. I haven't used them for a little while, but I have always been happy with their service. They have a web site at www.shutterbox.com.au.

Initially I had thought the same, eg, I've got two 135mm Rodagons, serial numbers not too far apart, one cleaner than the other. I'd thought to strip down the not-so-clean one and hope for the best. If I butchered it, I'd still have my 'good' one in use anyway... But then I thought of how comforting it is having a backup, and how much they'd cost me to replace...

What!? You cleaned your filter with a jumper!? I'm sending the Filthy Filter Police round.
It is quite a normal reaction from an old hand who has never broken or scatched a filter.

(But an old hand who has screamed at the loss of several Käsemann polarisers to rivers, creeks, under car wheels and petty-minded, lily-livered, pink-pawed pilferers...)

PS: Have you started the cleaning job of the lenses yet?

I have a 150 Rodagon that show signs of lens seperation that now I think about that i have pulled apart, nothing to it really just keep everything in order the way it come out. No spring or spacer to be concerned about. You
