I really didn't want to make a new thread, but a search wasn't fruitful, so here it goes. I have an unusual lens, a 50mm 1.9 Xyton for an Anscomark M (Ricoh 999). The blades are oily and bending when I move the aperture ring. I have a jeweler's screwdriver, but not a spanner or the other necessary tools for disassembly. Furthermore, I don't trust myself to do it correctly. I know the usual answer to something like this is "do it yourself or buy a new one, as sending it off is more than it's worth" or "you should learn this skill if this is your hobby." Fair. Understood. Valid. This isn't a Summilux.
But I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a general technician who could perform such a task? I'm familiar with those who specialize in particular brands (and would likely have the spare parts if necessary) but is there another option that isn't exorbitant? I'm in the New York area, for what it's worth.
If not, maybe I'll keep it on the shelf until I feel brave enough one day, but I want to believe there is a tinkerer who could get it working quicker than an F1 pitstop, even without knowing how the lens is assembled. For now, I'll just keep dreaming.
