It was a Bombardier Q400 Turboprop - one of my favorite types of aircraft. He may have crashed one that I'd even flown on numerous times - I'll have to check the registration number when it's available.
thanks for correcting me theo !
talk about a fun plane to fly ...

too many pages for me to look through to see if stuff is sivlerized or not.
i think general consensus is as long as you wear lead undergarments you can
put in your pocket .. i have heard that radioactive glass lenses hav a lot of hype surrounding htem
whether or not theyare dangerous or do photo alchemy ( turn bad photos into good ) is still up for debatd
you might look for leica glass >zukio mount i hear at least leica lenses make a rainy day sunny ..
either way have fun with your new lens !
German glass can kiss my (whatever rhymesthanks for correcting me theo !

I'd be more worried about the radiation emitted by your cell phone.
Leica lenses? They glow in the dark...
I'd be more worried about the radiation emitted by your cell phone.
Even so, the world would be a better place with less cellphone activity.
Cellphone transmissions are a form of electromagnetic radiation which is non-ionizing : the only certain effect is heating of tissue (exactly like a microwave oven). However, the emission of particles from radioactive elements is ionizing radiation. Very different, as it can affect molecules in your body.
Even heating of a tissue can affect the molecules. You gave the evidence yourself: microwave oven.
Furthermore there are other effects thinkable of than heat induced. That is why there had been studies on other effects electromagnetic radiation.
- victim needs to have phone removed from orifice after pissing off othersThat's true, but as was mentioned, that is a different discussion because there still has not been a consensus on the effects (*) even after 25+ years of cellphones. However, the effects of ionizing radiation are certain - though that from a lens is of the least concern.
(*) some effects I have observed due to cellphone emissions:
- standing stationary in public places for minutes while other people have to walk around the victim
- victim's inability to communicate verbally to friends across a table
- victim fails to proceed when traffic light becomes green
- victim speaks loudly and obnoxiously to the device when in inappropriate social situations
I'd be more worried about the radiation emitted by your cell phone.
From what I've heard it's not supposed to happen anytime soon. Unlike me growing another head if I get irradiated enoughThe OP would do much better to worry about what we will do when the Sun stops shinning and collapses on itself going into a super nova.

Even though the geiger-counter may go haywire, it doesn't say anything about radiation-type or energy-levels.
I wonder if that is likely to occur before or after the complete demise of (a) Fuji film (b) all film (c) an agreed conclusion to the debate on the minimum amount of Xtol needed to develop a film properly. The OP would do much better to worry about what we will do when the Sun stops shinning and collapses on itself going into a super nova.

This one is rather good, because it makes fun of the hysteria
