Try to find a compendium lens hood for your camera it will cover several focal length and works better than a standard lens hood. The drawback is the price compendium lens hoods are on the expensive side ebay or keh can be your friend. A pseudo-french flag solution (darkslide) works too, just not as well as a good compendium
