Huss, that is correct. it's just a filter adapter. to add a 58 mm spacer ring of some depth could potentially be the "hood". IT is tricky because who knows what will actually result in more vignetting.

I don't think there is a real hood solution. Maybe hold a hat to shield the sun?

The lens vignettes already. But I guess the concern now is hard vignettes.

Here it is printed 30 inches long, ready for a customer.

Bottom line, the Veriwide is a very sweet piece! Such a soft shutter release. It's why I kept it and sold my GW690III

Very cool....I'm inspired to get some of my negs out, if I can find them among my clutter and chaos.

The one thing that makes me not use this camera so often are the stories that the film advance mechanism is fragile. Not sure if that is true or not, but I make sure to wind it on very gently!

Question - when I complete the roll, the roll never fully winds around itself (the way you can with a TLR for example). It always leaves a long leader - which has not had any ill effect, but it just seems a little worrying. Is this normal?

Haven't used it lately. However, I do advance the winding fairly carefully initially but later got frisky. Can't remember the issue of a long leader.
