Lens for Olympus Pen F

I just picked up an Olympus Pen F and am now in search of a lens for it.
What lens mount does it take?
I imagine it is different than the mount on the newer digital micro four thirds Pen cameras of today but I don't know what Olympus lenses would fit it.

I took a very brief look at all of the links. Lots of references to lists of the lenses made by Olympus.

But. The OP was curious about the "what lens mount does it take" and the simple answer
to that is Olympus Pen F. Nothing else.
There were a variety of mount adapters that adapted
most other brand lenses to the Pen F. The adapters today aren't common and tend to be pricey
when you find them.

As already noted, the Pen F camera series has its own lens mount. Pen F-mount lenses are usually clearly identified as such when offered for sale. They're worth seeking out in preference to adapted lenses both because they're the only lenses that offer automatic diaphragm operation on the cameras, and because they're generally quite compact and nicely matched to the size of the cameras.

Yes, it was the lens mount I had questions about. I will just have to bite the bullet and buy the lens that goes with the camera, I guess. I could do worse...it looks like a very nice lens (38mm f1.9)

First of all, the standard lens that came with the Pens was a 38f1.8, not an f1.9. And unless prices have skyrocketed you shouldn't have to "bite the bullet" to buy one. The lens is quite common and is literally cheaper than the body cap (body caps are quite rare).

Yes, the 1.9 was a typo.
I ordered the 38f1.8 with cap (with the classic german script F) for about $60.
And for me, $60 is "biting the bullet"

great camera and fun to use
the lenses are sometimes hard to come by
they are sometimes used on DIGIcams.

i have 1 camera and a doubler i hardly ever use the doubler, its a perfect lens ( the normal ) and the camera is extremely well designed.

The 38 is nice, focuses quite closely. I've not used any of the other Pen lenses but I have the 100/3.5 (yet to get out with it).

Adapted lenses just feel odd unless they are near pancake versions. The F-mount 105/2.5 Nikkor dwarfs the Pen + Nikon mount adaptor.

Have had a Pen F for a long time now. Fortunately I have been able to add a selection of the lenses over the years. Some are quite rough though, thats what little money buys. Have a 150mm f4 for $15 with jammed focusing. Got it working after much much travail and a lot of muttering but its still not smooth near the last few degrees of focus travel. I now have a set of the 20 f3.5, 25 f4, 38 f1.8 and 100 f3.5 and also a 50-90 f3.5 zoom. The zoom is a nice lens but too large and heavy for everyday carry, I only use it if I cannot stand in the right place and need an angle of view between the 38 and 100. As noted, adapters for other lens mounts were available but can be well over $100 each now, if you can even find them. I have a OM and M42 (Pentax screw) and the OM was about $100 but amazingly I was the !high bidder on the M42 at only $35 so there are bargains out there. One caution about adapters. There are some clowns on eBay trying to sell 'T' mount adapters as M42 adapters so be careful, they are not near the same.

It really is a very nice camera. I had one with a couple of lenses in ~'66-67 in SE Asia.
