Now that I sold my wonderful LPL enlarger Simon comes along with his Postcard competition. arrrgh. So I must fire up the 4x5 Graflarger for the first time just so I can compete and I need a lens.

95% of my stuff will be off 6x6 negs, and I was almost thinking that I could adapt one of my lenses to a board, but the Graflarger is a funny beast in that it requires a warmup (old bulb style) so I need something shuttered. I wouldn't mind something vintage, but newer and sharper would work as well. Maybe both. Ideas?

The Graflarger was made to attach to the back of a Graphic with a Graflok back. It normally was used with the lens on the camera. Most commonly this was a 127mm or a 135 mm. It was not unusaul for this to be a Tessar or Optar.

I use enlarging lenses when I use the Graflarger back. If you want to allow for warmup time, you can use a black card in front of the lens. Now that I have a Metrolux, I'll put a Metrolux probe in there eventually.
