lens for b/w portraits

Agreed that it's a great lens, and a great focal length for portraits, but it won't meter on your F80. Unless you're okay with that, I'd grab an AF version, and you'll find a 1.8 a whole lot cheaper than the 1.4, unless you really need the faster lens. Even the AI/AIS 1.4 versions don't sell for cheap...

That's the ticket. A beautiful lens. Just a wee bit too long for my purposes when working indoors.
