Lens for 4x5

Hello! I have an intrepid 4x5. And I found as a lens the Linhof Schneider-Kreuznach Linhof symmar-S 150mm f/5.6

Maybe someone in the forum has already used this lens and has some feedback about it?

I have a Schneider-Kreuznach symmar-S 150mm f/5.6 but without the Linhof name. If it's the same lens basically, it shoots nice. Here are some samples I took.

I don't have the 150, but I do have the 210mm f5.6/370 f12 convertible Symmar. I do not plan on parting with it.

Just use it. I do not believe you will be disappointed.

Hi Mumi:
Schneider and Linhof had a special arrangement. Linhof got the best of the Schneider lenses to put their badge on.
I'm in the same boat as Eric Verheul ... I don't know if yours is a convertible but converted they need a more bellows than normal
(for example my lens needs about 450mm to focus at infinity when converted to 370 ).

Without knowing anything about your lens, it is hard to comment, but the glass should be clear without haze or scratches. There should be no edge separation. The shutter should give reliable times and the aperture scale should match the lens, the lens cells should be from the same lens design and should be screwed into the shutter so the overall length matches the manufacturer's specifications. The lens board should fit your camera. If those criteria are satisfied, you have a good lens.
