I have a Pentax 90mm 2.8 lens which had the plastic focus grip material fall apart. It's the focus ring "tire tread". If anyone know who might have this material in stock, it would be much appreciated.

At present it has been replaced with a strip of velcro (fuzzy side). So, it feels quite odd when you try to focus. But. it works fine.

Many thanks in advance.

I would improvise with materials obtainable locally. At a DIY store I found nitrile-rubber or alike that got a fine pyramide-recesses structure. Most likely it even yields more grip than wanted (getting dirty soon).
Anyway. Form a strip from such and fix with contact-cement.
The original barrel coverings are from tubes of the right diameter. Even if obtainable, you hardly would get the right diameter.

Maybe though barrels are somewhat identical in diameter to simplify sourcing such tubes. Though I never investigated in this matter.

Perhaps Griptac from cameraleather.com? It can be bought as sheets.

Thanks for the ideas! Alligator skin might be the ticket. ;-)
