I have a set of cells for a Schnieider Kreusnach Symmar Convertible 5.6-210 12-370. My lens book says it covers 5x7 but doesn't say what shutter size it's supposed to be in. Anybody have a clue?

I checked the Grimes site, but nothing showed for that lens. I will risk a guess that it will fit Copal 1. This is based on my Schneider 210mm F 5.6 Symmar S mounting. I may be wrong, however, since my lens is not a convertible. A call to SK Grimes will nail it down for you though.

Yes, it's a #1 shutter:

Always a good place to look...

I've got one in a Compur 1 shutter. They probably offered it in Compur, Prontor Professional, and Copal shutters. You should probably send it to Grimes for mounting to be sure the cell spacing is correct. It may have had spacers for different shutters.

Nice lens, by the way, but my Tech V is about an inch too short to use it as a 370mm lens (grrrr...) without getting an extension lensboard or back.
