Can I unscrew front and rear cell from a DB and screw onto the corresponding Copal shutter

Anything else I should know about in regards to this

As long as the cells remain the same distance apart (and threads match), it should work fine. You likely won't have a calibrated aperture scale, however.

If the threads don't match, or if you want to get an aperture scale engraved to match your lens, you're looking to send some stuff to S.K. Grimes...

As the DB-aperture resp. DB-mount is designed to accept lenses in barrels made in dimensions for classic shutters, the re-transplantation should work fine,
It is a matter of logic. Or am I overlooking something?

Ok. On the auction site, I saw a Fujinon 360mm cells mounted on a db for I think 500 or bucks. Or so. It got me thinking because I have four other lenses in copal 3, can I not unscrew the 360mm set and screw onto a copal 3 I already have??

Can I or can I not do this?

Ok, what Professional person would do this? And does anyone know how this kind of calibration cost?

I mean I’m not saving any money to buy cells for 500,then spend 250 on calibration. When I can buy one used in copal for 750.

True. True . DARR. However in the past people have sold cells for really cheap. But I’ve never bought like that. So I’ll just keep saving for a 360mm
