Leitz Pradovit Color

I see not much going on with slide projectors anywhere here, but I'll try again on this particular model line.

Leitz Pradovit Color

I'm a vintage guy so am looking at older versions and this one ticks all the right boxes and apparently bulbs are a non issue in spite of the age of this thing. I only see positives about it but not much no matter where I went to look.

Anyone with direct experience with this line (there were follow up models called Autofocus, 250 etc) but I see little difference form one to another.

Also, as I understand it Colorplan 2.5 / 90 lens is the one to get (Elmaron 2.8/85 being far behind), but what about a Hetkor 2.5 / 150 - any input of this one?

And if anyone had a brochure(s) on this line I'd appreciate a copy.

The advantage of this projector are the many taps at his transformer. And the accessory condensors. Though I have never come across such condensor...

We shall see. Got one just now for price low enough to not wait any longer, looks good in pics and has the Colorplan lens.

I picked up a Leitz Pradovit Color 250 off of eBay a couple years ago. It's a very nice projector, though definitely old school. I don't have a problem with slides popping in and out of focus in this projector, as the Leitz engineers directed a stream of air warmed by the bulb across the next slide to be projected.

I don't have the Colorplan lens; I think mine is the Hector lens (I'd have to go look) but it's adequately sharp for what I do. Slide advance is smooth, and jams are rare and easily corrected, even with older slides in cardboard mounts that aren't so perfectly straight any more.

Thanks, it helps before I see mine plugged in.

Great projectors. Bought my 250 with autofocus new in early 70s. Died. Unrepairable. Friend gave me a duplicate, which works. Unfortunately, E.Leitz no longer exists, at least not for projectors so spare parts are a problem.
However, even my manual Prado projectors produce outstanding results. A fiend borrowed my small portable Leitz projector and was in awe that such a simple machine could produce such results.

Good to know, now by a small accident I have the Color and RA 150 as the latter produced no takers above my 25 pound bid, in a hardly used condition. Both with Colorplan lenses. I won't be using them har so hopefully in 20 years I'll make a small profit on these purchases
