Leitz Leica 14239 Shoulder Stock - $90

Hello APUGers. Here is a Leitz 14239 Shoulder Stock. Locks up firm, action is smooth etc. Currently has electrical Leicina cable installed, but of course that can be swapped for standard Leitz cable release. This has been sitting in my store room forever. A fellow APUGer was kind enough to peg the value at something like $150+. Let's go with an APUG friendly price of $90. In any case, a reasonable offer will be accepted! Proceeds will go to a non-profit, although I am not sure which yet!

Thanks for looking,
Jon

Hi John - You must be part pachyderm based on your prodigious powers of recollection. For the Steichen I got in touch with he George Eastman House. They were very gracious but could not ID the sitter. The original thread is here:

For the monk/friar overlooking the harbor, I believe it was a fellow APUGer who got me pointed in the right direction. It turned out to be the Amalfi Coast. Coincidentally, I have since come across two other vintage photos, virtually identical but with a different monk standing in almost exactly the same spot! It gives me something to look out for at the paper shows!!

Not sure if that is what you had in mind! (Now buy the damn shoulder stock, will ya?

too cool, glad you at least got one image ID'd
that woman looks very familiar still, she reminds me
of one of the vaudville stars that used to play the somerville theatre
( and there were plaques in the davis square Tstop with her face .. )
next time i am in "the ville" i'll take a peek

wish i could use that shoulder stock but i'd be stopped by the PO-PO
without a doubt ... it ain't ez being green ( if you know what i mean )
