For Sale Leitz Hektor 2.8cm f6.3 LTM lens

This is from the last batch of Hektor 2.8cm lenses made in 1950. It has the modern f-stop scale and is single coated. It’s a tiny lens, and has a unique rendering. While coated, it is not immune to flare, but I find its combination of field curvature and flare to make some really nice images. It’s an ART lens…and a pretty nice street lens, too. Stopped down, the field curvature is much more controlled. I used it both on my II-d and my M2, and it can be really nice on digital too.

This lens was just CLA’d by Youxin Ye this year, so it is about as clean as its been since birth. Focus is very smooth. No haze or fungus.

Comes with caps (front cap is aftermarket), Leitz keeper, a nifty little screw-in lens hood I found, and a Leica slip on cap for that. You will have to buy your own LTD-M adaptor, I don’t have a spare. (Please be aware that this lens does not like Fotodiox adaptors, which don't allow the lens to focus through its full range. Rayqual work great)

yes, and at least we have better faster emulsions today to use. It’s a daylight lens for sure. On digital, it’s use envelope is greatly expanded.
