So, I am primarily a medium and large format shooter.

I do, however, like to carry something with me daily in the 35mm range. My choice is a lovely original black Nikon SP with heavy natural brassing. It is paired with the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens.

I thought I'd give Leica a go, so picked up a beauty of a M3. Added a nice Luigi case, just like my SP has, and away I went. Grabbed the Summaron with eyes for it. Images look fantastic and sharp.

However, an article that started me on my journey long ago with the Nikon was all about how the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 was the sharpest lens even for a Leica. Turns out, that's what I'm seeing as well. Thought I'd give the Summicron a try, but some trusted Leica old-timers basically told me that yep, it was going to be hard for the Summicron to beat the Nikkor as well.

So, since the M3 is more situated for a 50mm, I'm going to try to pick up a 50mm DR Summicron for it.

If you have one to trade, let me know. Any cash differences we can certainly discuss.

Otherwise, my Summaron is up for grabs. Glass looks fantastic. It is in excellent shape. Sample image included shot wide open. Has front Leica cap and rear cap (Voigtlander).

$1150 plus shipping.

*Note*
Sample image of my work colleague isn't scanned the best, but I think you still get the idea.
