Is it the Apo 80-200 f/4 you have ?
I have one and use it occasionally on digital.
They are optically superb, the only disadvantage is that focus is very sensitive beyond 150mm - In my experience it needs a tripod just to hit focus accurately if you use it at the longer end of the range. However this is a common problem with most manual-focus 80-200/70-210 zooms .
Today my new (to me) 28mm/2.8 Elmarit-R arrived, with correct period square lens shade. Life is worth living again! Did not know that it has a close-up range of 30cm?! Very nice.
The Novoflex adapter makes the whole look a bit ungainly. I wish I could remove the logo, it does look cheap. Fonts! Not SO difficult. But they went for some generic sans serif.
