Leica repair Eastern Ontario

Hi All,

One of my students brought a Leica IIIC to class recently. It is in pretty good shape but sounded dry when I tripped the shutter. Can anyone recommend a good repair shop for a CLA in the Ottawa area? Even one in the Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa triangle would be helpful. I also might find this info useful as, no doubt, some day I'll probably acquire another IIIF or IIIG.

I'm not sure if he has retired, but Gerry Smith is very reliable.

Last I heard Gerry Smith comes highly recommended for Leica and Rollei - probably other makes too. I also read (can't remember where) that it may be by appointment. Good luck.
