These are great cameras. When used with Leica R lenses the results are fabulous...develop your film at a local store of your choice. Look at the prints, then scan the images that you want to print digitally, and go to work. No worry about the inexorable dust on the sensor, or malfunctions with digital mechanisms. The glass never goes out of style, and the camera will probably last longer than you will. Never need to upgrade. Color film is still easily available, as is black and white....then again, those on this forum need no exhortation to stay with a film camera!

it's a crime fine cameras like this go for so little, and the earlier models more so except for the SL2 model. You can pick up an R4, a very nice camera, for a song, less than $200.

Stupid Leitz, abandoning their SLR line completely.
