Hi Apug fellows!

I had the chance to shot some rolls with a friend's Leica R5. A very nice camera, with Vario Elmar 35-70mm f/3,5

Here are a couple of shots from the first roll.

More in my blog!

i have an r4 that has been a sad disappointment-- consistently under exposes. I wish you good luck -- I understand the r5 was a vast improvement. They're so cheap I am sometimes tempted to just get one, but it makes more sense to just keep using the sl2.

I read that spme R4 had problems but if the underexposure is constant I think it's could be easy compensate for it (if not possible to recalibrate).
Btw. thanks for the luck.... but R5 is not mine....!

Nice camera and nice shootin'! (Not going to lie: I'm a little envious of the scenery. )

It was discovering that an R4 could be had for under $100 that got me back into film photography in the first place, by the way.

From a very expired roll of 100 T-Max in my R4...

Ahahahah... I can understand your envy...!

As you said, it's possible to buy a nice camera for few money and obtain great results. Your image confirms it. Btw. Which lens did you use?

Which lens did you use?

The 28-70 f/3.5-4.5 kit zoom.

Alas, the lenses are still a bit pricey for a starving artist, so it's the only R-lens I have.
