I purchased a used Leica R3 and am having some shutter release issues. Out of the 36 images about 8 of them actually took and 4 or so had only half a release. It was random throughout the roll. I changed out the batteries and it still had the same issues. Any thoughts on what the issue could be?

Hate to say it but the R3 model is very undependable (probably due to age). I have two dead ones now.

Hate to hear it. Can you clarify what dead means for your two? Same issue as mine?

The R3 has one circuit board for manual operation and one for AE. So one camera won't work in manual and one won't work in AE. Been awhile since I've tried using either one.
