the prices for R bodies these days is just silly. So low for what you get.

Does "F" for a price mean free, or what?

Pardon my stupidity, I'm not sure exactly how the Leica R line works with macro tubes since I've read so many conflicting things. My only experiences with macro tubes were with cheap Kenko tubes, a Canon 5D and a 50mm lens. Would I be wrong to assume that this extension tube is a hollow plastic ring that mounts between the body and the lens and everything works like normal? FWIF, I've got an R8 and a 50mm f/2 lens. Thanks and sorry for hijacking this awesome sale of a thread.

it is not a plastic tube it basically looks like a lens but without the optics and it trasfers the signal from the camera to the lens

Oh, OK, so it's a metal tube that sites between any R lens and any R body? If so, I'd like it, just let me know where to send the PayPal.
