This is a 1st version Leicaflex R 90 2.8 Elmarit short-tele lens. I like it better than the later models because it's soft at f2.8 for portraits, yet still has the usual 3-D stopped down and focuses down to 28". Pretty amazing for a non macro 90mm lens. It has a Leitax Nikon mount installed, and included is the original Leicaflex mount, Leica front and rear caps, the cam and a Y2 filter w/ retainer. The cam was removed by a jeweler and could be easily reattached, BUT none of the 1st version Leicaflex lenses (21, 35, 50, 90 and 135) will meter on any Leica body later than 1964.

That's a moot point though. The lens handles better on the Nikon, meters & exposes better, and I got shots that the Leicaflex never could have got. That thing was big, heavy and slow.

No fungus, no haze, no coating issues and smooth focus. Just some tiny dust particles, as shown, and that's tree reflections in the closeup shot. Best bokeh of any lens I've seen outside of the R 90 Summicron. I used it mostly w/ AF Nikons that had AE, but have used it on Nikkormats (slow to shoot) and other Nikons, even the little EM (fast to shoot).

It's a great lens for video and can be made to fit many systems, but ck the Leitax website for exact info on that.

$405 + $10 shipping. US sale please, and ships only to a verified paypal address, or a MO or ck is fine too.
