No, it's not an April Fool's joke, prices are going up next month. Film cameras are going up just $100, many lenses are going up by about the same amount. Digital cameras are getting a sizeable hit ($500-$700). Glad I'm an analog shooter

Leica lenses are NOT made by Zeiss. Leica makes its own lenses. There are Zeiss lenses made in Leica M-Mount, but they're actually made in Japan by Cosina and sold under Zeiss's name, not Leica's.
